Wondering if you could possibly help us to answer this following information that I received from a friend.

How do we know on which day the seventh day Sabbath actually falls?
I read some of the doctrine information on your sabbath pages & find it interesting it says the word Sunday is not in the Bible, neither is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday.  Since they didn't have names for the days of the week in those times, who really knows what day the Sabbath actually fell on according to our system of time keeping.

I would be so very grateful for any information that you may be able to share with us concerning this. I have been to your website and I have enjoyed it very much. Thanking you for your time. Looking forward to your reply to this.

Does the Bible identify Sunday as the Lord's Day?
I have been doing some studying on the Sabbath, and have talked to a Christian friend who is a minister. He could not adquately give me a good Biblical reason why we don't keep the real Sabbath. Just that that is the way Christians have kept the Sabbath because Christ arose and because the Lord's Day is mentioned to be the 1st day of the week.

What is the immediate state of the dead?
Please tell me what you believe will happen to saved person at death and to a lost person at the time of death. I have looked at many seventh day Baptist web pages and cannot find what you believe. I go to a Sunday keeping Church and would like to know.

Thanks for your time

Seventh Day Baptists and Seventh Day Adventists Compared
I'm doing some general research on major world religions and came across your website whilst surfing the net. I'm interested in understanding how your beliefs differ from the other christian group ie catholics, protestants etc. I'm also keen to understand how your beliefs differ from the similarly titled Church of 7th Day Adventists. I'd be really grateful for any information that you could provide.

Many thanks,

Debbie

Scriptures to "support" a change from Sabbath to Sunday
Are there any references in the "OLD KING JAMES VERSION" why Christians changed their day of worship from Saturday to Sunday?

Col. 2:16, Romans 14:5-6 and Galatians 4:10-11
The hardest verses to get around in trying to convince people that we are to keep the true Sabbath, Saturday, are verses like, Col. 2:16, Romans 14:5-6 and Galatians 4:10-11. Could you tell me your interpretation of these, Paul must be referring to the ceremonial, or old Jewish days that were a foreshadowing of Christ (?), could you verify?

Thank you so much...

A Question About a Friend
... She believes that because sin is constantly in her life it is most important for her to rid herself of that before pursuing anything else.  But I think that if we allow sin and the quest for ridding ourselves of it to control all aspects of our life, we will miss out on the good things that God has set before us during those times of uncertainty, which may in fact be the very thing needed to free ourselves from those times. ....  What advice can I possibly give her that might help her in her pursuit to be free of sin?

Is it a sin to work on the Sabbath?
I have been looking at the website for the Seventh Day Baptist and have a few questions that I am hoping you can answer for me. As I understand from what I have read, the belief of the Seventh Day Baptist is that the Sabbath day (seventh day) is a Saturday. This is observed as a day of rest and worship. If I were to adopt the beliefs of the Seventh Day Baptist, would that mean that I could not work for my employer on a Saturday? Would it be considered a sin if I did work (it would be paid work e.g. overtime payment)? Would you please clarify this for me.

Would you also advise what days are the “Holy Days” and is there a requirement not to work on these days?

The Rapture?
What is your view on the Rapture and the 'Left Behind' Series?

Thankyou!

What is the Church's view on Genetic Engineering, Stem Cell Research and Cloning?
Hello, I'm a year twelve student at Prescott College in SA, Adelaide. I have an important upcoming assignment on religions in Australia, and I have chosen the topic 'science and religion'. I was wondering if you could please tell me how the Seventh-day Baptist church views genetic engineering, stem cell research and cloning.

Thank you for your time,
Carine.
